Free pattern: easy tight tunic

Hi everyone ! a project can be easy to make and very elegant. If you are looking for this kind of project, you found it ! ;) this tunic is mainly worked in st st and perfect for beginners.

Sexy but not vulgar, you can wear this tunic with leggings or jeans. And do not forget the belt, an essential accessory for tunics.

SIZE : Medium

• Full length : 82cm
• Bust : 76cm

MATERIALS:

• ·         3and 3.5mm needles
• ·         Yarn weight: fingering

TENSION:

• ·         24 st x 30 rows: 10 cm x 10 cm

ABBREVIATIONS:

·         Dec: decrease

·         K: knit

·         Psso: pass slipped stitch over

·         Sl: slip

·         st st: stockinette stitch

Decreasing tip:

From right side:

·         k1, sl1 as to k, psso

·         2sts before 1 st: k2tog

INSTRUCTIONS:

BACK :

·         Cast on 118sts

·         Work in 2x2 rib on 3mm needles for 7 cm

·         Work in st st on 3.5mm needels until piece measures 25 cm

·         Dec 1st at each end = 116sts

·         (Dec 1st at each end every 6 rows and 8 rows) =100sts

·         Work in st st until piece measures 62 cm

Armholes :

·         Cast off  each side every 2 rows : 2x3sts , 3x2sts, 5x1st = 66 sts

Neckline :

·         when piece measures 15cm from armhole, cast off 28sts in the middle

·         cast off every 2 rows : 1x3sts, 2x2sts, 1x1st

·         when piece measures 20cm from armhole, cast off

FRONT :

Neckline :

·         when the armholes are finiched, cast off 14sts in the middle

·         cast off every 2 rows : 1x7sts, 1x4sts, 1x2sts, 2x1st

·         when piece measures 20cm from armhole, cast off

COLLAR:

·         Pick up 136sts around the neckline using 3mm needles, work in 2x2 rib for 4 rows then cast off

ARMHOLE BORDER :

·         Pick up 112sts around the neckline using 3mm needles, work in 2x2 rib for 4 rows then cast off
