SIMPLE SHORT SLEEVE SWEATER
size: Medium
materials
·         3.5 and 4mm (size 4 and 6) needles
·         Crochet E
·        Yarn: 4 ply, green and black
Tension/ gauge
·        22sts x 30rows: 10cm x 10cm
abbreviations
·         BO: cast off (bind off)
·         CO: cast on
·         Dec: decrease
·         Rem: remaining 
·         St(s) : stitch(es)
·         St st: stockinet stitch






BACK: CO 92 sts, work in 2x2 rib for 3 cm (11/5 in) on 3.5mm (size 4) needles. Then work on st st on 4 mm (size 6) needles. When piece measures 34 cm (132/5in), shape armholes: BO 5sts for next 2 rows = 82 sts. Then dec every 2rows 1st at each side 3 times = 76 sts. When armholes measure 19cm (71/2in), shape shoulders and neckline. Shoulders: BO 2x6, 1x5sts AT THE SAME TIME, BO 16sts in the middle, BO every 2rows 1x6, 1x4, 1x2sts.

FRONT: like back except neckline: when piece measures 15 cm (6 in) from armholes, BO 12sts in the middle. BO every 2 rows:  1x4, 1x3, 2x2, 3x1st. Shape shoulders.

SLEAVE (MAKE 2)
CO 70 sts and work in 2x2 rib for 2.5 cm (1 in) on 3.5mm (size 4) needles. Then work on st st on 4 mm (size 6) needles for 2 rows. Shape cap of sleeve: BO 5sts for next 2 rows = 60 sts. Dec 1st at each side of next 4 rows = 52 sts. Dec 1st at each side every 2 rows until 30 sts rem. BO 2sts at the beginning of 6 next rows. BO rem sts.

FINISHING:
Sew pieces together and crochet the border of the neckline with black yarn.

INSTRUCTIONS:
BACK:
·         Cast on 108 sts
·         Work in Gs for 2.5cm
·         Work in st st until piece measures 24 cm
Armholes:  
·         Cast off 5 sts for the next 2rows = 98sts
·         Dec 1sts each side x 5 = 88sts
·         Dec 1sts each side every 2nd rows x 3 = 82sts
Neckline and shoulder:
·         When piece measures 18cm from armholes, cast off 16sts in the middle
·         (neckline) cast off every 2nd row 6sts x 2
·         At the same time, (shoulder) cast off every 2nd row 1 x 5sts, 1 x 7sts, 1 x 9sts
FRONT : Like back
Neckline:
·         At 4.5cm from armhole, cast off 16 sts in the middle
·         Cast off every 2nd row : 2 x 3sts, 1 x 2sts, 4 x 1st
Shoulder :
·         cast off every 2nd row 1 x 5sts, 1 x 7sts, 1 x 9sts
SLEEVE : make 2
·         Cast on 60 sts
·         Work in Gs for 2.5cm
·         Now, work in st st  and increase 1st at each side every 6th row 13times and every 4th row 3times = 94 sts
·         Cast off 5sts for the next 2rows = 84 sts
·         Dec 1st each side x 5 = 74sts
·         Dec 1st each side every 2nd row x 3
·         Dec 1st each side every 4th row x 3 = 62sts
·         Dec 1st each side every 2nd row x 6 = 50sts
·         Dec 1st each side x 9 = 32sts
·         Cast off 4sts for the next 4 rows = 16sts
·         Cast off
FINISHING:
·         Sew shoulder and side seams
Neckband:
·         Cast on 150 sts and work in Gs for 6rows. Do not cats off!
·         Sew the neckband to the neckline

·         (Dec 1st at each end every 6 rows and 8 rows) =100sts
·         Work in st st until piece measures 62 cm

Armholes :
·         Cast off  each side every 2 rows : 2x3sts , 3x2sts, 5x1st = 66 sts

Neckline :
·         when piece measures 15cm from armhole, cast off 28sts in the middle
·         cast off every 2 rows : 1x3sts, 2x2sts, 1x1st
·         when piece measures 20cm from armhole, cast off

FRONT :
like back

Neckline :
·         when the armholes are finiched, cast off 14sts in the middle
·         cast off every 2 rows : 1x7sts, 1x4sts, 1x2sts, 2x1st
·         when piece measures 20cm from armhole, cast off

COLLAR:
·         Pick up 136sts around the neckline using 3mm needles, work in 2x2 rib for 4 rows then cast off

ARMHOLE BORDER :
·         Pick up 112sts around the neckline using 3mm needles, work in 2x2 rib for 4 rows then cast off
